New Art Shows in Minnesota

Share

It’s nearly June and I’m still in Minnesota. We were told today that our house offer in Atlanta would be accepted in the next few days so I will be moving some time in the next 30 days(?) (knock on wood). Now that summer has abruptly arrived in Minnesota, it’s beautiful outside and the weather is already warm/hot. Moving south to be warmer is no longer necessary, but I’m moving also for better art opportunities. As an artist I’m well aware that people who buy art mostly live in larger cities where most art opportunities for sales outside of the internet exist, so I really look forward to moving.

Meanwhile, I’m still involved in local art shows. One of my current shows is at the clinic of Dr. D. Grabowski in downtown St. Cloud (916 West St. Germaine Street, Suite 114) with the CMW watercolor group. My paintings Lubaantun and Out at Sea are at this location and are for sale.

Hidden paintings

Unfortunately, my two paintings were hung in exam/treatment rooms so it’s impossible to see them there unless you are a patient who is being treated in that room. Some of the art had to go in those rooms, I guess, but I wasn’t clear on this arrangement prior to hanging. Some of the other artwork went into the lobby/waiting room but I was not so lucky.  It’s an art exhibit in a business with my art literally hidden from the public. Therefore, anyone not a patient at this clinic will have to see the paintings on the CMW Gallery page that I designed and developed.

Anyone can see seven of my paintings at the Waite Park library through the end of May (for the current show) and after that, I’ll have a couple of paintings in a show at the same library with the Universal Concepts Art group. Our show at the Rivers Edge Convention Center in St. Cloud is up through this Friday, May 30th.

Jetstream Acrylic painting
Jetstream, Acrylic, 12″ x 24″

The painting here is called”JetStream“. It’s an acrylic painting on panel, 12″ x 24”. It refers to the jetstream that controls a lot of our weather, which has been a very wacky thing lately.

By the way, I’m currently developing my website design business and you can see what it covers soon. Check back here when I announce it’s ready to go. I’ll be specializing in websites for artists and photographers.
