I participated in the latest First Friday Marietta Square Art Walk on May 1st, for the first time since moving to Georgia. Artists (and others) set up their work on the sidewalk just like it was an Art Crawl back in St. Cloud, except the weather was a bit warmer. Below is the art I displayed this time. It was also the public debut of my new polar-bear-out-of-water painting, Apologies to the Bear, seen above. This painting is acrylic on canvas, 18″ x 24″, and will be seen at the next Marietta Artist Market on May 23rd from 9am-2pm.
My sponsoring business for this Art Walk was the Marietta Pizza Company, who makes fantastic pizza (I ordered one that night). Please everyone go and enjoy their pizza. It is excellent. They gave me a nice space they lease on the sidewalk, under a canopy with lights so when it got dark my artwork was still visible.
