Nature Abhors a Vacuum

Nature abhors a vacuum means that something will grow no matter what the conditions. Plants can grow out of sidewalks and out of ice in the Arctic, and in the most unlikely places. Sometimes, like in this painting, you might be surprised at what pops up. This is also an example of deliberately created artwork that I feel is the answer to dullness. I love color, I think bright colors have the same effect as bright lights, especially¬† in the winter,¬† on people’s psyche.

It’s an acrylic painting on canvas, framed, 24″ x 30″ (framed size), 2011. This painting is also available on Artspan as prints.

Order the original: Ships to the continental US only. $400.00 + $50 shipping and handling to the U.S. only — that price includes frame. See new shipping information under the “About” tab.
