I have three paintings in the brand new SCAA art show at the Mable House Art Center in Mableton. One of the paintings is this watercolor titled “Climate Changes”. It’s an unusual painting for me because it’s very straightforward. This is an attempt by me to un-complicate important images so the meaning doesn’t get completely convoluted.
What does that mean? The climate is changing and that is generally what this painting is about. It may not lead to a green sky, but who knows, it might. And who says this is Earth? It could be Venus. Oh no, there I go complicating the meaning again. My point really is, all my paintings are open to interpretation, and that’s the way I like it. You can see anything you like in this painting, or any of them.
The two other paintings in this show that I painted are “Summer in the Arctic” and “Crow Convo”.
Here are the details for this show. Exhibit dates are from July 13, 2015 10:00 am until August 20, 2015 4:00 pm. The Mable House is at 5239 Floyd Road Southwest, Mableton, GA 30126. It’s so easy to get to, due south of the East-West Connector on Floyd. There is also a reception! It will be on July 25th, from 7-9 pm.
